In its 2023 report Eurochild collected information on the rights of children in the countries of Europe. 38 members of Eurochild contributed data about 26 countries with 5 aims:
- Assess the situation of children’s rights in each country and provide recommendations to address any issues or gaps
- Build knowledge on the experiences of children, families, and communities living in poverty and social exclusion
- Assess whether the Child Guarantee National Action Plans align with the countries’ needs, and the scale of Eurochild members’ and children’s engagement in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating them
- Assess the extent to which the European Semester 2023 Country Report and Recommendations are aligned to the lived experiences of children from a civil society perspective
- Provide an overview of the Countries in Accession’s priorities regarding the most pressing issues for children and their involvement in EU-funded projects
